The test car pictured is a preproduction model rather than a concept BMW i8, similar to what should appear in 2013. TV host and car collector Barry Meguiar remains hospitalized in Monterey, Calif., recovering from a viral infection, but his condition is improving, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday. Meguiar, 67, was said to be in stable condition last week. On Wednesday, the spokeswoman said Meguiar was still on the mend and was awake.
